Puerto Rico: Ana Valldejuly (Juaca) Elementary School

Sometimes in life we just stumble our way into God's plan for us. As we all know, our God has such a sense of humor.
After several wrong turns and dumb luck we found ourselves in a very inviting community near the southern part of Puerto Rico. We happened upon an elementary school march for cancer. The local police allowed us to just pull over as the march passed by. In fact they went out of their way to thank us for even having an interest. It was clear that we weren't from the area.
So many of the 150 or so students, the teachers, and parents were in pink. As it was meant to be Penny had her "Pink Out" Adams Central ladies Jets softball shirt on. Penny was invited into the march. As the march wound down we were invited back to the school. That's when the holy spirit  really took over.
One teacher suggested we all go to the covered basketball court. They had the truck with the loud speaker come as well. First the principal spoke, then Penny was asked to share why we were in Puerto Rico. Penny spoke, then I spoke. Then we formed a 200 person prayer circle. Penny prayed, then I prayed. After a teacher prayed, the principal had us sit down, then had the students surround us for more photos. All of the events that day was recorded. Recorded by us, teachers, parents, and from a drone that the police had, telling us they plan to send to all the police depts. in Puerto Rico.
This was one of the best experiences, and none of it was planned. Funny how that happens.
