One of the many blessings of traveling to Alaska is Penny's leadership in educating youth in the Gwich'in villages. Katelyn knew she needed help with math to graduate and Penny felt honored to provide help to her and many others. Just a footnote: If you look at the photo of Penny setting with Katelyn, you will see just how tired she is. Not from lack of sleep but how difficult this project can be, summer wide. If this was easy more people would come from the lower 48 and volunteer. The fact is, this is a tremendous hardship.
